Dear Fellow Gert Breeders of the Carolina’s,
This year’s 2011 Santa Gertrudis Breeders of the Carolinas Family Field Day is getting close. This year’s event will be on Saturday, September 10 at Creech Farms in Zebulon, NC. We are planning a day of fun, education, and food for all (a hefty meal of Gert brisket). We are encouraging all to attend, as we are reviving this as an annual event. As Gert breeders, we feel it’s important for us all to come together for such an occasion.
This year’s family field day will begin approximately at 9 a.m. The day’s event will include an open cattle show, in which we encourage participation, as we begin the fall circuit and State Fair season. Entry information about the show is enclosed with a deadline of September 1st. Those of you participating may arrive as early as you need. Our education session will be a demonstration on Low-Stress Cattle Handling led by Dr. Matt Poore and Dr. Mark Alley.
Enclosed also are directions and contact information. We look forward to seeing you here.
Thank you,
Tony Creech and Family
